Lord Please...

Lord, please let them walk through life this way.  Holding one another up, trusting one another, loving one another, walking alongside one another.
This is my prayer for them!

Party Bargin'

One of Adalie's very favorite things to do is camp on the Party Barge.  We haven't decided if it is the late night games of Old Maid, or snuggling in the sleep bags together with a cool night's breeze, or trying to stay awake to spot as many shooting stars as possible, or waking up to the rock of the first morning ski rides, or swimming before breakfast.  I have a sneaking suspicion however, it might be the morning hike to the bakery for breakfast!
We love our Adalie and her love for Party Bargin'.  Because whatever the reason, I love the uninterrupted, totally focused, fun time, with our little family of 4!

Summer Begins

We kicked summer off with a splash this year, determined to keep up summer time ties with all our buddies!  The kids swam, fished, sunned, lunched, squirted and all around had a fantastic day!
We are so thankful that this is our backyard!

Days of '49

Josiah was lucky enough this year to begin studying California History. In Mrs. McPherson's class, that means the long awaited for 3rd grade play. Josiah was so excited to audtion for a speaking part and was even more pleased to be a Chinese narrarator with Kaia. She spoke her lines beautifully from memory and we were so proud!
Following the play, the kids got to have a day of field tripping. They visited the Mining Museum where they panned for gold, and the rock museum where they toured an old mining shaft. Both were great fun!
Oh, the songs we will be singing now!
