Open House 2012

We were blessed again this year with 2 fabulous teachers. Both Mrs. Lemmon, 1st grade, and Mrs. McPherson, 3rd grade, stretched, guided, taught, and loved our girls this school year.

For Adalie, this was the year of studying the dinosaur (particularly her favorite the Pleiseosaorus which we have a nearly lifesize hand painted creation),  the farm, the garden, and the biggie... (drum roll please)..... habitats!  Adalie wrote her very first research paper on the Arctic Fox!  And of course made an icredible Arctic habitat!

For Josiah, this was a year of research and art.  Mrs. McPherson always balaced core curriculum with fun and gorgeously frameable art projects.  Josiah also wrote a report on our local Jesse Ross Cabin which was featured in the gatherin of schools display.
Hurray for another fantastic school year! 

Gymnastics 2012

Yet another year of gymnastics complete. These girls love it! They gain so much strength, balance, and agility just by having fun and learning cool new tricks! But, boy oh boy, do they work hard!

Mother's Day 2012

Mother's Day, Bass Lake 2012

It was a beautiful warm day and we spent it together in one of our favorite ways... swimming at the docks.  I am grateful everyday for my sweet family.  These girls teach me more than I could ever hope to teach them.  They are both truly beautiful both inside and out!

These truly are the most fun years of my life so far!!

Water Day

After a long week of testing the kids at North Fork got to blow off some steam!  They ran through the sprinklers for over an hour, only pausing long enough to warm up on the black top!

Mono Trial Field Trip

There she goes on the big yellow bus!  Mrs. Lemmon 1st grade class got to hike the Mono Trail.  They saw all kinds of wild flowers, named all the trees, learned about their leaves and life cycles, saw a bald eagle, and then picnicked at the lake.  I love that all this was just a 10 minute bus ride away!  And what a treat to get to go with my girl!  She took many beautiful pictures, held my hand as we walked the trail, sat with me to listen for animals, and made an incredible trail in the sand!
